HOW DOES THIS WORK?
The process of getting food to the people who need it is quite
simple:
Donors send us food; the Food Bank stores and distributes the
food to partner agencies; partner agencies serve meals and/or distribute
food to people in need.
Product
Product arrives from retailers, manufacturers,
distributors, growers, processors, the food service
industry, special food purchases, and individuals through
food drives.
The Food Bank
The Food Bank collects, sorts and repacks
product for distribution to member agencies.
Member Agencies
Emergency food pantries, youth programs, senior centers,
soup kitchens, shelters, and rehabilitation centers
serve or deliver food to people in need.
People in Need
A wide group of people are helped by the Food Bank’s
services: the elderly, disabled, mentally ill, families,
battered or displaced women, working poor, unemployed,
and children.
